Hello everyone. Or should I say anyone. :-)
I have decided to close down this blog and start posting on a better named blog found here:
http://ignite-the-flame-within.blogspot.com/
I hope you enjoy it as much as I will. All I ask is that you be a little patient with me as I get back into the groove of this blogging thing. Oh, who am I kidding, I never was in the groove. Please just bear with me as I try to get a routine of posting new material.
Any constructive criticism and advice is welcome as are new ideas. All hate mail will be sent back to the fiery chasm from whence it came. (Did you see what I did there?) :-)
Love you guys, thanks for reading. God bless ya!

Ephesians 37:1-14
Dry Bones
The church has always concluded that the Valley of Dry Bones refers to the lost souls of the world. While this may be true at a glance, when we delve into the meanings of the scripture, we see that this is not entirely true. I will break things down for you, but I encourage and implore you to do your own research into the context of this scripture.
It is important to first learn about who this scripture was directed at. We would like to say it is directed at the church, and in a way I believe it is. However we must look at a later verse in the scripture to understand the truth. In verse 11, God tells Ezekiel that the dry bones are the whole house of Israel, but what does this mean? The term "Children of Israel" refers to all people of Israeli decent, and since the gospel and salvation has been extended to the gentiles, all who come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ falls under this title as well. So there, we see that the dry bones does not necessarily mean lost souls, it is referring to the "dry bones" in the children of Israel, namely the Israelis and Christians.

Perversion of Beauty
It bothers me when I see what girls are doing to make themselves look "pretty". They see models, actresses, and singers that are skinny and try to look like them by any means necessary. New clothes, more makeup, different personality, and even puking after meals (if they eat at all), just to look like their idols. The idol thing is something else than my point, so it will have to wait. But when I hear of 8 year old girls dying of starvation because they wanted to look like Brittney Spears I get sick to my stomach.
It's time someone shows these girls what real beauty is, what their "Prince Charming" is really looking for. I can't speak for the "dogs" out there who just want to get laid, but I can speak for the real men out there. We don't want seductive outfits and skeletons with skin, we want a girl that knows who she is (without a man), and has a personality that works with ours, nothing more.
Love isn't about sex and it isn't about a warm fuzzy feeling when you see that certain someone. I'll get into that one in another posting. Just know that true love is what God has for you, it's the love I have for you, and it's the love we need to understand before we can say "I love [INSERT NAME HERE]".
